"I have been struggling with hair loss since I stopped taking the pill 7 years ago. After trying this wonderfully scented something, I have to say: I love the soap! My hair definitely does NOT look greasy, but nourished and clean. There are no electrical ones hairs, which is usually the case for me. Overall, the hair seems heavier and much stronger at the roots. I'm thrilled and am sticking with it. Take heart, the soap can do something" - Linda via Amazon

SURROUND YOUR SENSES WITH REFRESHING FRUITY SCENTS

Grapefruit essential oil exudes an invigorating scent that caresses the senses with a refreshing citrus note. With the first breath, the fruity freshness unfolds, evoking the idea of sun-ripened grapefruits. The organic cypress essential oil has a distinctive, earthy scent with a light woody note. The scent is strong and clear, reminiscent of a walk in the forest where you breathe deeply and absorb the cleansing energy of the forest. Together they create a scent landscape that is both invigorating and calming.

Application: Lather the soap intensively between your hands and water. Massage the foam thoroughly into your wet scalp with your fingertips. This should create a rich, creamy mountain of foam. Then rinse the lather out thoroughly. Repeat the shampooing process a second time if there is not enough foam, as lathering thoroughly is very important when cleaning with soap. You can also run the soap directly over wet hair and lather your scalp. Most people do not need to shampoo the lengths and ends of their hair, as the foam that flows through when rinsing is enough. Try out what works best for your hair.

Tip: We recommend an acidic rinse as an alternative to a conditioner. Mix 1 liter of water with 20 ml of apple cider vinegar and rinse your hair with it after washing. Do not rinse your hair with water again afterwards, but gently pat your hair dry with a soft towel. The acidic rinse closes the cuticle, makes your hair easier to comb and gives it shine. The perfect alternative to a conditioner. The smell of the vinegar disappears when it dries and is no longer noticeable later.

Note: The more hard the water, the higher the probability that the soap will react with the limescale and leave small, white flakes on the hair and scalp (so-called limescale soap). It is therefore important that you rinse the soap out very thoroughly, possibly with boiled water if your water is very hard. A two-stage acidic rinse can also help here. In the first step, mix a stronger acidic rinse with 50 ml of vinegar in 1 liter of water and rinse it out. Then repeat with the weaker acidic rinse and do not rinse.

Pro tip: With the hair soap and the acid rinse, you save on shampoos and conditioners. You don't even need a conventional hair treatment if you regularly pamper your hair and scalp with an oil treatment. The best thing to do is to massage unrefined, cold-pressed organic oil (e.g. almond, olive or argan oil) into the scalp and distribute it to the tips with a natural brush. Leave it on overnight and wash it out thoroughly with your hair soap the next day.

Storage: Please allow the hair soap to air dry after use. It is best to use our soap stones or soap bags for this.

Disposal: Dispose of in waste paper bin.

That's why it's worth switching to natural hair soap

The benefits of cleaning with natural hair soap are many. Many people report a significant improvement in their hair structure and scalp . Dandruff, dry and itchy skin and brittle hair can also be alleviated by switching to the gentle natural product. Compared to many conventional products, natural soap is free of aggressive surfactants, silicones, waxes and other questionable ingredients.

Scalp health can be improved and the natural hair structure restored.

In addition to visual, tactile and sustainable benefits, the hair soap is also simple, practical and inexpensive . For your hair care, all you need is your hair soap and, if necessary, an acidic rinse, which you can easily make yourself with water and vinegar. More about this in the “Application” tab.

WE WILL EXPLAIN IT TO YOU

DIFFERENCE between HAIR SOAP and SOLID SHAMPOO

Both products are solid wash bars that foam and can be used to cleanse your hair and scalp. Nevertheless, they are essentially two fundamentally different products.

Hair soap is a boiled soap consisting of the basic ingredients fat and lye. Different combinations of oils determine the level of care of the hair soap. When the soap matures, detergent-active substances are created, which ensure cleaning. Our hair soap consists of natural ingredients.

Solid shampoo, on the other hand, is not saponified or boiled. It consists of various ingredients, mostly surfactants, water, oils and possibly active ingredients, which are mixed together and pressed. More rarely, solid shampoos can also be melted and poured.

Which product is right for my needs?

This depends entirely on your needs and hair situation. In general, we only recommend hair soap for chemically untreated, undamaged hair. After bleaching, for example, a special shampoo that addresses your specific needs would make more sense. Here we give you some facts about both variants. Can you find yourself again?

        Natural, mild, hand-made

        Hair soap

At puremetics, a purely natural product that gently but effectively cleanses hair and scalp. It contains no synthetic surfactants and is therefore the gentlest form of cleaning.

Anyone who has always used conventional shampoos should know that a short adjustment period of around 3 weeks should be planned. Hair and scalp first have to get used to the milder form of cleansing. During this time, any stored silicones etc. will also be released from the scalp and hair. In the end, you can look forward to stronger, healthier hair and scalp.

        Discover hair soaps

Good to know: Water hardness is crucial

In general, soft water is better for washing your hair with soap. You can find out how hard your water is from the municipal utilities specifically for your region. From 14 degrees it is called hard water and from 8 degrees it is called soft water. We have added a type of “descaler” to our hair soaps. That sounds funny at first, but it's a real game changer when used with hard water!

        Hybrid, all-rounder, mild

        Solid shampoos

At puremetics, a hybrid product made from synthetic and natural raw materials. Even if we use a mild surfactant, it degreases the scalp more than soap. To do this, we add more nourishing oils. Water hardness plays less of a role here.

No change is necessary because it works just like a conventional shampoo. Solid shampoos are also suitable for chemically treated hair, as special active ingredients can be added.

        Discover solid shampoos

By the way, we have another option: our shampoo powder

Without any getting used to it

        Mix it yourself

You can magically transform our shampoo powder into a liquid shampoo at home with a little water. This option makes sense for everyone who can simply handle a liquid shampoo better.

They are specifically designed for different hair and scalp types and you can get started straight away without any adjustment phase.

We often receive these questions about hair soap. Here are the answers 💚

Natural hair soap is a type of shampoo that is made from all-natural ingredients. It contains no synthetic chemicals or artificial additives.

Natural hair soap can help gently cleanse hair without stripping the hair too much of its natural oils. It is environmentally friendly, free of harmful chemicals and can be a good alternative if you have sensitive skin or allergies.

Conventional shampoo often contains synthetic surfactants, preservatives and artificial fragrances, while natural hair soap contains only natural ingredients such as vegetable oils, essential oils and herbs.

Natural hair soap is generally suitable for many hair types, but can vary in effectiveness depending on the recipe. Best only used on chemically untreated hair and soft water quality. There are special soaps for dry, oily, curly or colored hair.

The use of natural hair soap is similar to that of conventional shampoo. You wet your hair, rub the soap between your hands or directly over your hair, massage your scalp and rinse thoroughly.

Yes, certain natural hair soaps contain ingredients that can help treat dandruff or irritated scalp.

Yes, many natural hair soaps can also be used for body care. They often contain mild ingredients that are gentle on the skin. However, it may be a bit too dry for your body skin. A special body soap is better because it contains a little more fat.
